Fred`s Hickory Inn in Bentonville

Overpriced dry meat. The sausage was fine actually, but not the turkey slices or ribs. Turkey must have been 2 days old, and the ribs probably just sat on heat all day and dried out. I don't want to hurt any business, but I would have rather ate at sonic. $50 for 2 plates. The baked beans were great though. Patio was nice, and waitress was nice. I didn't care for the homemade bbq sauce that tasted a bit like alcohol. it was runny compared to bottled. Many probably would love it, but not for me.

The sausage I had was cold and dry. The pork was dry, as was the sliced beef. The bbq sauce tasted like pepper and vinegar. The service was good, but that couldn’t make up for the dry, cold meat.

We drove in from Dallas to watch our Granddaughters in a local theater play, and searched for a great place to have lunch with our family. We found Fred’s, and our daughter said everyone raves about it. After lunch, we are among those who love it! First, the Hostess knew that we were here from Dallas and meeting family. She greeted us like an old friend and walked us back to our family’s table. Our Waiter was friendly , and hospitable. He worked at our pace, and we spent over two hours there. My chicken and spinach was awesome. Our son said the meatball sandwich was delicious because the meatballs were smoked. The youngest loved the mac-n-cheese. Everything was awesome! Before leaving for the day, our Hostess dropped by the table to ask if we enjoyed our meal and little family reunion. She made our six year old feel really special.

We just had a social distancing family late evening dinner outside on a beautiful patio that is just grand in size with plenty of space to distance yourself from others. Fred’s staff is awesome providing guest with fans for outside and the acquired sanitation inside, and their staff taking all Per Cautions to keep you safe and Their selves. We had Mike as a server who took care of 15 of us, he was amazing! My family will take care of you, but we are a crazy bunch of individuals so when we come together it can create a bit of Chaos. Mike Handled us well even in some extreme heat and wearing a mask 😷 had patience and Attentiveness. My favorites still tasted the same, Ribs literally fell off the bone into my lap! meatballs so tender and juicy( I could live off of Lou’s Meatballs) and Spinach dip is still my guilty pleasure. So thank you 😊 to the my peeps at Fred’s for make my visit back a special one. Johnny Mac is still the Boss! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
